I had been a subscriber of AOL for three days when I met the man of my dreams. We met in a chat room, and were immediately drawn to one another by a force that neither of us understood . . . and still don't. We have so many things in common it's almost spooky sometimes . . . we were even born on the same day.

I had heard people talk about "falling in love" on the Internet and I would laugh and shake my head in disbelief. How could you possibly fall in love with words? I now understand exactly how that can happen. We are 1152 miles apart and I don't think that we will ever be together in a physical sense. Others complicate this matter so completely, and I think that we both know in our heart of hearts that there is no future for us. I feel blessed that I have had the opportunity to have this very special man in my life . . . if only for a while. His voice is a ray of sunshine in my life. He has brought about feelings in me I did not know I had. This is only my second poem ever . . . do not judge it too harshly . . . just let it speak to you.

Everyone is amazing. No matter who they are, you just need to find their amazing quality. This is a poem for every friend I know and the people in life I'm going to meet.

I wrote this about my therapist. She has changed my life so greatly, that I do not know where I'd be today without her.

This poem is my way of expressing my feelings of losing someone that I care very much about. I hope no one has to feel that hurt, but I also know it is a part of life. I care for this guy very much.

This poem is what I have learned through many years of not having friends and believing it was due to the way I looked. I have learned that looks are not everything in life.
