Sometimes people become what they least expected they would. Sometimes they do things they never expected they would. The realization of this is overwhelming.

This is my description of when I realized I had been taken over by bulemia

Every other person falls prey to addictions in life. The basic realization of life and its beauty gradually disappears with addictions. Understanding oneself and putting away addictions are a key for a beautiful life. Especially when addictions come in young teenage, its a pathetic plight for the age and the development into the old years. A strong need for awareness, is a small solution to the problem of smoking, drugs, and alcohol.

My poem may not be about me, because I am white and catholic and, after all, only thirteen.

But after I saw a movie where blacks and Jewish people were being discriminated against badly, I wanted to write about how I would feel if I were facing that kind of discrimination.

This poem is about having to be the bearer of bad news to a military family. I was inspired to write this because of the friends and family that I have lost to the defense of this great country. I tried to write this from the bearers' standpoint because I wanted everyone to see that they share in the sadness of a compatriot.

I wrote this poem after hearing the tragic story of a local man who decided to drive while drinking, only to end up taking the life of his wife in a horrific accident. After hearing this story I couldn't help but wonder how the man felt. What his life must be like, knowing that his ignorance was to blame for a life being cut short. How he must have felt, having to carry such a heavy burden.

I was watching TV and was inspired by the homeless people in our country. A country that is blessed with so much that we take for granted. It is time that we love one another and help a bother or sister out with what we have been given.

This was written for all the homeless people, the burden on my heart, to make a change and a difference through love!
