How could this happen, I wondered? Will it happen more often? Yes. As the bean counters develop new savings, vacated positions are not refilled, which leaves me with an empty feeling.

This is a poem of what really hurts
After I wrote this poem, I wanted to analyze what was meaning behind the sentiment, what was it about, and what led me to write it. I'm not sure if this is the head with which every poet thinks with after writing a piece. But I know it was important to me to do this. I thought about it and came to this simple conclusion. Sometimes we miss or should I say are denied of that one thing (being) our heart desires most above everything else, just because we are not wearing the right kind of "clothes." This poem, I suppose, is my way of coming to terms with my disappointment.
This poem is about realizing yourself and the emotions you have. Thinking all the time that you were perfect and finally realizing that no one is. Living up to other peoples expectations is hard but everyone is subjected to that in their life.
