There is a line between you and me. It is very thin but when I try to cross, it turns into a wide and rough line. I shouldn't cross, I can't cross. Because I know that I am one of your friends. I want to say "I love you" a thousand times, but I can't. Because I know I am just your friend.

I've heard tales of people suddenly realizing that they are in love with their friend. This poem is about the opposite of that experience - It is about my experience with someone who I knew as my lover and then realized that while our relationship would never work, I had found a friend I would cherish forever.

I wrote this poem as a companion piece to "We're Not In Love". After the relationship had ended with the man that the first poem was about, we became closer than we had ever been. We now enjoy a special kind of friendship that is very rare and comfortable. This piece is about our new relationship as friends.

This is a Poem I wrote for a Man that had stepped into my Life when my world was a dark and lonely place. How can you not fall in Love with such an Angel?? Well I fell in Love with him and although he is the Greatest Man in my Life we are only friends, but yet we act like more. I am confused...But even though he doesn't feel the same way I do. I will Love him anyways.

I found that I had a best friend that I thought might become more than friends. I thought that maybe I would like a relationship with this friend But I wasn't sure. In the confusion I wrote this poem about her. She has herd the poem may times but I have never told her that it was for her alone.

This poem ask the question many of us seek when we enter a relationship - whether it will be intimate or plutonic. It expresses my own inner thoughts, yet gives that special someone the opportunity to express theirs as well.

This poem is dedicated to the beauty and honesty of deep friendship between a man and woman. I have made a great friend within the past three months before this poem was written, and have learned that even the most faithful person is not above the temptation of an outside source. Through this brutally honest friendship, we grew together, and faced some of our darkest realities within.

All is great when one can walk away with heart and friendship still intact, even after exploring the very thin line between friends and more than friends. This poem is also about patiently awaiting and trusting the word of a friend who says they will back after a difficult task in their life has been accomplished. Can friendship stand the test of distance, and time? We shall see.

This poem was inspired by the one night I spent in this guy's arms. It just so happened that he was a very good friend of mine and very much taken and I was falling for him. And there were times when I just wanted to wrap my arms around him and forget the world.

So I wrote this poem to remind me that things can't be the way I want them to be - especially if I want to keep the friendship the way it was.
