My poem reflects the love that I have for my dad - the same as I did when I was five years old. These are memories that keep me young at heart.

I am the mother of four. Two girls and two boys. They are all grown with families of their own now. This poem is about remembering when children were little and I think will touch the hearts of any mother.

My daughter, Candice, told me she submitted her poem to me here. So I thought I would do the same for her.

This is a poem of encouragement, love, and pride. I wrote it for, and gave to my daughter for her 8th grade graduation. It was also a time when life's road was a bit bumpy and money was a bit on the short side.

Candice, I love you more than you'll ever know

This poem is about my mom and how much she means to me. It lets her know (in writing) the things you just never seem to say in person even though you know you should.

My name is Amanda and I'm 12 years old. I wrote this for my Mom when I was eleven and gave it to her on Mother's Day. My mom told me that my sister, Candice found this site and that they both submitted a poem. So when
she asked me if I wanted to submit mine, it seemed like the right thing to do.

I'm an adopted child. My upbringing was good, full of money and every thing I needed - except real love. My adopted mother was very possessive and tried to make me into a person I wasn't - she tried to make me like she is - and everything within me cried against it.

Well, good news is - I found my biological mother in May 1998 and we are so happy. We love each other so much, also her husband and my two half sisters and my little half brother. We are like a family that was never apart.

But it's hard for my mother to understand me, to see the pain I still have - so I wrote this to explain to her how I felt and what she must do when she doesn't understand my feelings and my moods!

This poem is for my mother. She gave me life, she gave me all my talents and yet she would still give me all she had (should I ask it of her). She makes me feel as if I could take on the world, yet always with the same compassion she shows me - how to respect the world, care for it and love it.

Thus I wrote her a poem for it was the nearest I could come to express my feelings for her.

This poem is dedicated to my mother. She is the single greatest blessing I've ever received. The sacrifices she's made for me alone are staggering.

Her love of music and the love for her children are endless.

This is to the very special person who has affected my life in so many ways. That person would be my wonderful son. Although he is only four, he has changed my world for the better and I thank him for that.

I wrote this for my mother to tell her how grateful I was for her standing by me in my toughest years. We never communicated well so this was the next best way of telling her I loved her.

I disappointed my mother a lot during my teenage years and for that I was sorry. Soon after giving her this poem, we both opened up and now we get on better that we ever have in years! !

Hopefully if one of you are looking for a way to open up to a friend or a family member, try writing it in a poem. It works wonders - trust me.
