When I sat down to write this poem I had just recently moved, and I was feeling lonely. I had no male acquaintances yet and I was in need! One guy in particular had caught my eye, though. And, one night I was thinking of him and started to write . . . this is what I got:

This poem explores the feelings that surrounded me late one night, when the 'projector in my mind' was playing reels and reels of someone that I love. The twist, as real as the feel, the reality is not the Picasso painting I have created in my mind, but a space filled with questions unanswered, running to, to run away - and the harsh truth that I have to open my eyes. But it is oh so nice, with my lover, in my mind.
