Like many, I have lost many significant people in my life. There have been times sitting at the bedside of someone I love who is dying that I had trouble saying how I feel. I so regret this now. I recently lost my maternal grandmother and was able to tell her I loved her before she passed. I then wrote this.

This poem was written to give to my very best friend when I moved away.

This is dedicated to my husband who has truly shown me what love is. I never realized love was such a strong emotion. Thank you, my husband, my love!

I think one of the hardest tests of love is like the title says. Letting go is a true test of love. It is easy to hang on to the "safe" feeling of a relationship but true love at times, needs to be set free.
