I wrote this after a very heart breaking day...I always grew up believing that you can have all you want if you try with all you have and never give up. Everyone around me laughed and said I have much to learn, that most dreams don't come true… I know you can't have all you want because I've been there and I cried because I thought it was impossible for me to fail.. I always though I was a strong person who stood up for what I believed. Now I begin to understand that it's not whether you fail as long as you fail trying!!!!!

I had a rough day when I realized no matter how much I want it, sometimes you just cant get all you want.

I came to America from Poland about 5 years ago I thought everything will be ok That no one would be racist. But I was wrong. Until this day people judge me because of my race. Even my school treats me differently, even though I'm above average they think of me as below normal. I wrote this to show how I feel about this .

This poem reminds me of my time spent growing up in Africa, I had a willow tree outside my bedroom window that I used to play on all the year 'round, and these were some of the stories I used to act out on it.

Of all the poems that I have written, this one is a favorite of mine. This scene plays somewhere nearly every day. A child asking tough questions, an adult trying to answer...…

I am enchanted with the sea and the oceans and write many poems about them. As to seagulls, I just love them! they are most graceful when in flight but best of all, they are survivors!
