This poem was written in my senior year of high school. I was happy, but tired of being the shadow of someone else.

If the life that you have been living ended today, could you honestly say that it was a good life? Please don't look at this poem as a sad one, but rather as a reminder of how invaluable human life really is. To Reflect is not only a poem about suicide, but also a poem about life.

Take a moment to reflect on your life. Are things the way you wish them to be? If not, what can you do to improve. Life is precious: Enjoy it!!!

What happens to us in the past is an important part of who and what we are. But it's still, nonetheless, the past. Only when we can put it behind us can we move on with our lives.

Not long ago I was leasing the blinkered life, nose to the grindstone. It is easy to lose sight of what's important in life.

In life, and in relationships people get into certain roles as time takes place. There are martyrs, people motivated by happiness, people obsessed with the darkside of life, and so on. Sometimes, the roles in a relationships between friends can be characterized by the things in life, instead of labels of behaviors.

In my case, I am describes as the moon. There is a sun and an earth in my life, and if you look closely, you can see that some of the moon's cries are to the earth.

The moon, in cycles...lives the life in the shadows as the sun takes over the earth, but there will be a time when the earth will listen, so if you are the earth in a relationship between friends or whoever... listen to the other side, there is something in the dark, something you can't see, the moon has a story, the moon shines as well!

I wrote this poem to give expression to my ideas about the tricks our mind plays on us with regard to memories - about how sometimes thoughts, feelings and imagination cross into our memories - and how, as a result we create illusions.

Serendipity - A chance we take or lose for all eternity.

Winter Doldrums? - Don't allow them even a corner of your mind. Life's too short to dwell on negatives, and there are always positives we can glean from our days. Search them out, concentrate upon them, and Be Happy!!!!

We all try to please some of the people some of the time, but there comes a time when you really just have to please yourself!

How sweet it is to have a brood of your own - And then - How sweet it is to become your own person once again.
