This poem rips from my soul, through my fingers, onto the keys, through the invisible wires to share with my fellow humans, taking part of my heart with it on its journey.
The gasping beauty of snowstorms was inlaid on my child-heart by a mother who loved them too. All my life, snow and wind will bring me intense joy, through this gift she gave me.
Life can bring such deep sadness, but if a person is dearly loved, nothing can ever truly overwhelm them. So it is with me, loved by my husband.

It's about a person who tried to make something of himself, and he tried real hard to be a success. But events in his life never pieced together right. His friend tried to help him, but never helped him quite enough. And I do believe that he became so depressed he killed himself.

When I wrote this poem I just getting home from school, which had proved to be a hard day. When I began writing this poem, I realized that my day had not been as bad as I'd thought. I realized that I had so much more that I could be thankful for.

The special request: Cheryl, of Northern California, writes that she just gave birth to a beautiful, healthy, seven pound two ounce baby girl during the first week of December. Kristen Marie has her father's dark coloring, Cheryl says, but she isn't likely to get anything else from him. A single Mom, Cheryl would like a special poem, something she can give to her daughter when Kristen is old enough to appreciate it. Something to tell her what a wonderful, joyous moment her birth brought into her mother's life.

I wrote this poem for school. It had to be about life and I wrote about my relatonship with my Stepmother.
