Melodies by Adam Herring
There is music that I hear,
gentle whispers speaking
in the cool dark night
The words I hear
sooth my troubled soul
As the sounds get louder,
I am awaken by them
and cannot regain my sleep
It troubles me until I am reborn
a soul transformed by the melodies.

It is a known fact that God will use anything to bring peace and comfort for those in torment. In this case, God sends His healing power through music. The poem "Melodies" is based upon the account where David played music for King Saul when he was tormented.
