Love Throughout Eternity by Pauline Hamblin
Pictures of you, I have carried.
Alone in my pocket for years.
Dreams that someday beside you.
My face will be added and dear.

You gave me your picture in grade school.
Its old, the edges are bent.
I take it out several times daily.
My mind, back to those years are sent.

We're older and both have since married.
Your picture remains in my purse.
My feelings for you do linger.
A blessing, or is it a curse.

Poem describes first love and how the feelings felt then are not forgotten. Although we go on with our lives we will always have that special memory
