When I first saw you, I thought you were so fine.
But I couldn't try to holla
Because I was with someone at the time.
So all I could do was smile but never say "hi."
I thought you were too good to be true
So all I could do is wish someday I'd be with you.
I never would of thought that one night could change my whole view
Because I realized that night I would love to be with you.
I wanted to express how I felt
But every time I went to tell you, the words just wouldn't come out.
My heart would skip a beat whenever your presence was near.
It was like I was in a daze wishing you were here.
I tried to deny I had any feeling for you inside
But then I realized after that one night
That you were truly the one I liked.
The one I would want to hold me tight
And be with for many more nights.

This poem is about a guy I thought was so cute but at the time I was with someone so I couldn't try to get with him. Things changed over the course of time and me and my boyfriend broke up. It was in the middle of my Junior year we had a dance. I wanted to go with him so bad but I didn't have the courage to ask him so my friend Jessi asked him for me and he said he would go with me.
The night of the dance was one of the most amazing nights of my life. He made me so happy which I hadn't been in so long. It was great to be with someone who didn't expect anything from me. It was then that I realized I would love to be with him and share many more nights with.
