Seek Not My Heart by Kit McCallum

Oh gentle winds 'neath moonlit skies,
Do not you hear my heartfelt cries?

Below the branches, here about,
Do not you sense my fear and doubt?
Side glistening rivers, sparkling streams,
Do not you hear my woeful screams?

Upon the meadows, touched with dew,
Do not you see my hearts a'skew?
Beneath the thousand twinkling stars,
Do not you feel my jagged scars?

Seek not my mournful heart kind breeze,
For you'll not find it 'mongst these trees.

It's scattered 'cross the moonlit skies,
Accompanied by heartfelt sighs.
It's drifting o're the gentle rain,
A symbol of my silent pain.

It's buried 'neath the meadow fair,
Conjoined with all the sorrow there.
It's lost among the stars this night,
Too far to ease my quiet fright.

No gentle winds, seek not my heart,
For simply ... it has torn apart.

	This was deep, moving, heartfelt poem of loss and how this person has reached deep within his soul and found his/hers poet, and how he grieves, oh yes, grieves over his lost love and whith it, his soul was torn apart. I absolutely love how you made it informal -- it gave it more profound meaning, more passionate and as if it was this person's thoughts. You've artistly managed to reach into the well of feelings, otherwise known as emotion memory, and explored the emotion of love and how it is when loosing it again. It's a terrible feeling, as if you're, as you said, torn to pieces and want's nothing but to grief. You feel like you belong in a crooked world, a crooked world of unjustice. This is my favourite poem, and I think you can manage to write whatever challenge there is because you've reached the emotion memory stage in writing, and that's when the feelings get coloured, deep, three-dimensional and real. The prose is excellent; vivid, fluent, easy and lyrical. The rhythm beats with the emotions of the character, moving with the sad beat of an elegy. 	I love this poem. It puts into words the way my heart feels. My boyfriend and i broke up about a month ago and i've tried to get him back but he doesn't want me, even after i tried for months to make us better, he was just out for himself and what suited him. I was just left to wait around until he "had time". I say this because he NEVER made time for me after the 5th month.
