Violated by Tina K
I can’t see you, so you can’t see me
Close your eyes
Close your eyes

What you don’t know won’t hurt you
Close your mind
Close your mind

Turn your head, it will just be a little pinch
Look away
Look away

Pocket full of posies
Mask the scent
Mask the scent

It’s all there in black and white
Turn the page
Turn the page

Time heals all wounds
Move ahead
Move ahead

Winners never quit
Say goodbye
Say goodbye

Every day I see myself passively permitting other people to control my life. When the line is crossed, society tells me to suppress my pain. This poem is about what comes from listening to the advice of the world at large.
