Regret Revisited by Tina K
a dream deferred
a life lost
how does one who has never been
love
pain convinces existence of its existence
forget sorrow
parting is just sweet
maybe the whoring wasnt so subtle
why save a body
when so many have rushed to pimp the soul
who knew that blood and salt water
could form such indestructible links
no magicians trick to
simply, subtly separate
chains beget chains
and those who most crave freedom
suddenly find themselves begging to be bound
the new software came out yesterday
its already obsolete
upgrading is impossible
for sale
bargain prices
last years model
slightly worse for the wear
not so user friendly
but unprecedented in reliability
remnants for sale, remnants for sale
doesnt anybody want these
remnants for sale?
never again is so short lived
discount rates for round trip tickets
when hurt is your oldest friend
why make new ones?

How many times have you found yourself in a situation where you swore you would never do anything to make you feel that way ever again? I wrote this at time when I had heard myself say "never again" so many times that the echo in my brain never subsided.
| It's sad that sorrow often follows love. And, yes, it's sadder still that it has to happen time and again. Thank you for your poem. - TG |
