There is a line between you and me. It is very thin but when I try to cross, it turns into a wide and rough line. I shouldn't cross, I can't cross. Because I know that I am one of your friends. I want to say "I love you" a thousand times, but I can't. Because I know I am just your friend.

Those 38 words contain a sentiment of truly epic proportions. I have heard of no better way to express the conflict between love and friendship that can occur between two people who can not be with each other. Although I do not know who said it, the worst way to miss someone is to be next to them knowing you can not have them. At least this poem allows a person to be able to express their innermost feelings without putting further stress on what is probably an already strained relationship.
