Tears of blood fall from my broken heart
I never thought we'd be apart
When you held me, you said "Forever"
Now that you're gone, I know you meant "Never"
Saying you loved me with that look in your eyes
And that, too, was a cold-hearted lie
Your tender touch, a soft kiss
Two things about you I will miss
As I sit here thinking of you
My face is wet with tears past due
I should have cried long ago
But I just loved you so
I know they say love is blind
But I had only you on my mind
A hurt so deep, it cuts like a knife
But wounds heal, and I'll go on with my life.

I wrote this poem after my first serious crush broke up with me. I didn't know of any other way to express my feelings. After the tears ran out, I allowed my soul to cry this way.

hi i'm 23 and i live in chicago and i just wanted to tell u. As i was sitting here feelig sad about a love i lost, i read your stuff u make me feel strong and helps me get bye now i'm a man and i tryed everything i could but when the other person gives up, its to late and even the strongest man feels a broken heart but when i've done all i can. i just have to say good-bye . so hopfully one day i can be in love, a love like a 16 year old where nothing in life is more importent then the one who make u feel like a lil kid again and then maybe i can be happy. just a fan peace - sergio |
