You tore my heart into two,
My hopes, wilted and shattered,
You said I just won't do,
To you, that's all that mattered.
Didn't you give me a chance,
To prove we're made for each other,
Let me show it you just once,
But in my heart, I know you'll never...
Maybe I've started
writing poems too late,
'Cause my heart's all blistered,
And so full of hate.

I wrote this poem with my ex-girlfriend in mind when I was feeling particularly inspired yet in a bad mood (inspired, hah!).
She is still my very good friend and I still care deeply for her.
