Ablutions' Sonnet by Nancy Ness
As vernal coverlet seals winter's snow,
From nimbus urn, Aquarian heart so sleight
Decants time's cleansing waterfalls below
In pure ablution of past season's blight.

Remanding discord and consouling strife,
This host befalls renewed vivacity
Once sallow hearts now carpet verdant life,
With resurrected faith that we may see

Effluent love. Spring nascency's begun,
Anointing solar rays' descent on rills
Of rainbows hues reflecting golden sun
In bounteous eyes of springing daffodils.

Enlightened by a sapient sun above,
Inspired by ablutions' flowing love.

The changing of the seasons (particularly the onset of spring) is one of my most awe "inspiring" experiences in life. In many ways our own transitions in life can be correlated.

Our lives bring us through many an emotional cycle ~ We see the spring of newfound bliss, bright summer days, the loss or fall of life's joys, and tempestuous wintry times. Our changing emotions are caused by many different life influences; but the most powerful of all is love ~ and the transitional "spring" it brings to us. Love invariably eradicates all recollections of those cold and lonely wintry days.
