Thank you, Rosemary by Lloyd Klumpp
I had a new experience today.
A poem I wrote moved someone
And in some unexpected way
I was moved.
When told of how I made her feel
While reading lines I had penned
I deeply knew just how real
Verse can be.
I might never again achieve that goal.
Still I know the effort that it took
To write one poem
To touch one soul
Was worth it.

I am very new at this poetry writing caper. When I received an e-mail from a stranger complimenting one of my first efforts I was surprised at the depth of my reaction. This is to thank that stranger.
| A poem I have submitted to this site has touched a number of souls, and they have given me thanks... yet the poem was written in a dark time. THe "buzz" and general feeling of worth when you get an e-mail with the subject line of the title of this poem (or in my case Thank you Kevin) is irriplacable, and has led me to write more, and touch more souls. This poem captured that feeling. - Kevin |
