Hiding by Ashley Ronnenberg
Blonde hair, blue eyes,
Can't hide the fears that lie down inside.
Nice cloths, dirty looks,
Won't tell the stories that are no joke.
Little whispers here and there, tell another dare;
Scars mark broken bones, each with a story of their own.
Something lies deep inside, lurking, beneath the truth
Of what this girl has been through.
Tons of nights walking around,
with no clue where to sleep,
was a little fear.
But going home to her
was the worst fear
the little girl could ever face.
Can't hide the fears that lie down inside.
Nice cloths, dirty looks,
Won't tell the stories that are no joke.
Little whispers here and there, tell another dare;
Scars mark broken bones, each with a story of their own.
Something lies deep inside, lurking, beneath the truth
Of what this girl has been through.
Tons of nights walking around,
with no clue where to sleep,
was a little fear.
But going home to her
was the worst fear
the little girl could ever face.
I wrote this poem for school. It had to be about life and I wrote about my relatonship with my Stepmother.
