Memories by Maria Byrne
Weakness,
A feeling experienced,
Again and again,
No running away,
But to chase,
And Follow the heart,
Because that's where,
The weakness lies,
From broken hearts,
That have not yet healed,
And visible scars,
Portray the patterns,
That once were,
And from the heart,
Seep to the mind,
Which seek pictures,
Visual feelings,
Emotions,
More than just a picture,
But of the memories,
Long since gone,
Only in the hearts,
Will those memories stay,
And I know,
I will never forget,
Memories are all that's left.
